It is Here!

NaBloPoMo November 2013

I know.  I know.  Some of you are like..."Enough Already!"

I can't help it.  I can't stop.  I am addicted to challenges.  I am loving it.  So, here we go again.  Another blogging challenge, and I might add, I am super excited about this one.  I have only read a few of the prompts.  They seem quite tasty, in my opinion.

Also, I think there may be something magical in the air.  The clean, crisp, cool air that I felt when I stepped outside this morning.  I feel rejuvenated, excited, thrilled, barely able to contain myself.  I have said a number of times that I am ready for winter.  I have my Carhart Coveralls washed and ready.  My gloves, hat and scarf are waiting.

All of the above - just to give you some perspective on my frame of mind.

Very important if you plan to follow along properly.

You must follow properly or you will find yourself dazed and confused.

Wandering aimlessly in your pajamas.

You don't want that, do you?

Here is the question.

The Million Dollar Baby, if you will.

If you found one million dollars in the morning and had to spend it by nightfall, what would you do with the money?

At first glance, I would be pretty selfish here.

New cars for everyone!  $200,000.00

How about a new horse trailer?  $85,000.00

Ooh!

I know!

Some land.  $400,000.00

I could find a horse or two or four.  $50,000.00

Don't forget the cows.  $50,000.00

Easily I could stock up on some bee equipment.  $10,000.00

I would not forget the extracting equipment.  $15,000.00

That stuff is really expensive.

I would probably prepay both of my veterinarians.  $20,000.00

You know, for whatever pops up.

I mean, seriously.

Some think it would be hard.

I only have $170,000.00 to go, here.

I don't think it would be hard at all.

Or...

I would give it to the Man in Charge to start his own business.  This would be the gift that keeps on giving because he is an awesome man, and having his own business would allow him to touch many lives.  This would include ours and the people that would work for him and their futures.  This would be a very valid use of the cash.

Or...

I would give it to my Part-Timer.   She is a blogger.  I read her post.  She way took the high road.  I was pretty impressed with what she would do with the dough.  You can check it out.  I must admit that it made me feel a little guilty about my selfishness.  I was not thinking high road at all!  (Link HERE.)

Or...

I would give it to the TSA worker that was shot today at LAX.  You know?  The one they showed on National Television.  The one that had been shot.  The one, that in my opinion was probably dead.  I could not believe they were showing it.  He was in a wheel-chair being pushed by three men that were running.  When I saw it, I thought,

"That man is dead!  Why are they showing that?"

It was awful.  He is already doing a job that, also in my opinion, is a waste.  Then, today he goes to work and gets shot.  Shot bad.  Then, instead of having any regard for him or his family, the media broadcasts this image of him over and over!

What is wrong with you people?

Can you imagine what his family is going through?  Seeing that!  How are they going to feel if he is dead?

Sorry.

I went on a rant there.

Here I am having a feel good-happy-bubbly-sort of day, then the stupidity-of-the-world comes crashing in.

I'm going outside.

  1. Thanks for the mention! I approve of the giving it to the Man in Charge. He would find a way that would make it really work for generations. He just knows how to build things that last that way.

  2. Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! I have to say, I quite appreciate a well placed rant ;) Good luck on the NaBloPoMo - it's my first attempt! Here's hoping we can both stick it out with minimal writer's block.
