I Love Surprises

Don’t you just love surprises? Getting something that you didn’t expect? Being completely shocked by the fact that someone went out of their way for you? Maybe it is just a girl thing, but I doubt it. I don’t know of any men that would admit to liking surprises, but they are cheating themselves if they act like it doesn’t feel good.

I mean, there is just that moment of, “Wow! You did this for me?”

It could be because Valentine’s Day is around the corner, or maybe it is because it is actually above 60 degrees outside and the sun is shining, but I love the fact that I received an unexpected surprise today.

No, it was not flowers.

No, it was not jewelry. 

Although, I did buy myself some really cute earrings the other day. They were a gift from the Man in Charge.

I love it when he gets me things.

He even found them on sale. He is so thoughtful and thrifty. He truly is amazing.

Back to my surprise today...

You will be shocked, but there wasn’t even any chocolate involved.

Finally...a brown egg.  I can't tell you how many times I have asked the question, "Hey!  What's it going to take to get some eggs around here?"
 
Well, today, someone else got a surprise.  I say she got a surprise because this one little brown egg was not in the nesting box with the other three.  It was on the ground by the feeder.
 
Poor little girl probably didn't know what was happening.  Just minding her own business, having some breakfast, and then BAM!
 
You gotta love surprises!
