Contest - Name that Bird!

After some thought and a few hundred pictures...we are going to give this contest a go.

The Game:

Name that Chicken Breed

The Rules:

1.  I will post pictures of a particular breed of chicken that we are raising on the farm.
 
2.  You will have 24 hours to identify the breed and email the correct answer to me. 

Please use the email address given on the contact page of this Blog for these emails.

3. The first email with the correct answer will be the winner for the day.
 
4. The person with the most correct answers will be the winner of the contest.

Posts will be up by 6:00 pm, for those of you who have day jobs.  This post is going up a little early to give you a few extra hours.  You will see why below.

The Prize:

This stuff is awesome.  It has a great citrus fragrance and really does help with the Winter hands.

Prize is valued at $24.00, but this will prove to be a priceless educational experience.

This is a Rooster.

This is an exotic breed.

This was the hardest one for me to identify.

You won't find the exact markings, but you will find similarities, and you have to pay attention to his overall appearance.  He is looking a little haggard here becaue he is getting picked on by the older hens.  Like I said, this was the hardest one for me.  I am also going to include a picture of him as a chick...this really helped me.

Again, you won't find an exact match, but pay attention to the markings on the eyes.
